i can no longer open poker office for the same reason mentioned by the previous guy.
i'm also on windows XP, and in case it matters, i was VPNd into another network when i was downloading and installing the files before the reboots
furthermore, immediately after the first reboot (and before trying to open PO again), i got a windows error pop-up but accidentally closed it before reading it. it has not come up on subsequent reboots.

and i also run avast and it also identified finalizepatch.exe as a virus
