To avoid any confusion regarding the new version and how the licensing will work: The new version will be free to anyone who already has a subscription for PokerOffice 2.
How about those of us who bought the product for a one time fee, before there was a subscription? What is the policy?

Batch import is not mentioned in the post. Has the batch import been improved?

Is there a conversion tool from the current MySQL database to the new H2 database and structure?

Not decided yet. But most likely there will be some sort of conversion to subscription.

Do you mean for speed? Or the possibility to import folders (and subfolders, etc)? Both should be part of the stable release, may not be optimized for Beta v0.1.

Not for the Beta. There will be some sort of conversion tool present in the final version, its under construction.

Sounds good, what about error handling?

Good luck with the beta, I look forward to the actual release.

Is it possible to get a copy of the schema before getting PO5? I would like to look at the DB (I have downloaded H2) but do not want to participate in the beta and I do not fit the profile you are looking for.

Will be possible to select to write errors to log instead of being prompted during import (via settings). With PO5 you will also get feedback in the progressbar on how many hands have been imported so far during import.

No, unfortunately not possible. With regards to writing your own stats and filters there will be no need to access the database, the user will be exposed to an object containing the entire game state and can manipulate the data any way he or she likes (via Java). The user object will then be loaded dynamically on run time and used throughout the application.

The BETA version released already. We're currently testing the software. Not everyone has access to the BETA tests. See this thread for more information: WANTED: Beta testers for new major version of PokerOffice (PokerOffice 5)
