Sorry you had to part with your dollars to find this out.

Hopefully other prospective buyers will read these forums, see the problems people have with this software and keep their money in their pockets rather than shell out on this rubbish.

In the last 12 months, i never saw a post deleted (though I didnt always pay close attention)
Instead I saw support answer even some very outrageous posts in a calm and objective manner.

There are only 2 other major programs out there, Holdem Manager and PokerTracker,
yes, both have way faster updates than we do BUT one of them (i think PT) is a pain in the butt to configure the HUD in.
I tried for several hours and gave up (and I do know my way around computers).

The HM devolpers stated flatly (after the major FullTillt updates 2 months back) that they wont support live tracking on FT for a long long time - possibly never -, because they couldnt get it to work right.
(link: Live Hand Tracking at Full Tilt - Holdem Manager Forums)
Granted it took PO over 4 weeks to get it running again on FT, but they did!!

PO patches could come in a little quicker, but as long as it works, neither of the other 2 major competitors can hold a candle to the functionallity and accesabillity of PO (at least thats my opinion)

I posted this so interested buyers dont read just a one-sided argument.

And everyone else has posted so interested buyers don't waste their money on this POS software.

In my experience all your other points are incorrect.

PO Support is almost non existent and other than replying can you send us a log seldom reply to user questions.

PT3 and HM are very easy to set up and actually have a guide for the current version of their software unlike PO5 which has not updated their guide since PO2 (A product which they now neither sell nor support)

Unlike PO, HM fixed the Full Tilt problem within a couple of days of the FT software update.

If anyone is any doubt as to how functional PO5 is a quick glance at the support forum will show you that there's probably not a poker site on the planet that this software works.

If you are in the market for poker tracking software do not buy PO5, not only is it more expensive than it competitors but support is terrible and it hardly ever works as advertised.

You do have a lot of good points, but I merely stated my opinion on the matter in the interest of a more even argument. Except for you, all the other posts where just bashing, not explaining anything.
While you expierence differs from mine, saying that my is incorrect doesnt apply to my points, since opinions usually cannot be falsified.

However I do respect your opinion and agree with a lot of your points

I just think if PO works, it is better than its main rivals.

I noticed a few posts in this thread that indicated lack of replies to support queries. We don't ignore e-mails, so if you haven't heard back from us (in a week for example), please resend your e-mail.

E-mail support is our top priority, which unfortunately delays our answers in the forums. We'll try to improve our response time here as well. I'm afraid it's necessary to see log files very often to figure out exactly what's causing the problem(s) a user is experiencing, which is why it's common to see that request.

The PokerOffice 5 manual is up on our website now.

Unfortunately some of our fixes are quite complex since we're having quite a few live features that requires a lot more than reading hand history files.

Right now the only network of the ones we state that we support that doesn't work is Ongame (expected beta release for this this week). I do understand that it's easy to get antoher opinion by reading threads in the forum.

Default hi

hello all,

Reading al these replies gives me somewhat the urge to post my opinionLike mentioned in earlier post i had a few errors which i solved by reinstalling and some troubleshooting ...
After that everything worked fine (xp sp3) except a few things like "auto tourney update , some layout default etc ... which i got a reply that there where working on a fix ) but besides that the program does what its supposed to do ... it tracks every hand (no problems with live tracker) en gives me the results i needed .
- Even after a few updates from full tilt it kept functioning .

A two weeks i bought a new with vista and i was afraid it would fail because of the posts .. and indeed in the beginning many livetracker windows went open but after installing the language update the problem was fixed (configured the handhistory folder) and everything works like a charm except the the few things i mentioned before .

My opinion :
PO is very user friendly you dont need a degree in rocket science to configure the hud or any of the other stats you want to be displayed ... in max 5 minutes everything has the layout you want.
I only play at full tilt so i dont know about other sites ... but if you buy a program that support as many sites as PO then you indeed have that chance that not everything is working like advertised (this is called "commercial) Like with every other product you buy in this world .
My 99 dollars is good spended money .. and even if it didnt worked for like a month i still find it good money ... if you cant play poker without a poker program you should play darts instead ... PO gives you tips and hints about a certain player not certainty and the real discissions should be made in your head made from experience and not from some stats .

and instead of trashing every software that doesnt work like you tought it would be ... look at the forums of HM and PT there loaded with post that it DOESNT do what its supposed to do .

Only thing ... the time of replying to an email or post could be a bit faster (Hint Hint support )
gr,
Mike
