Default Old Pokeroffice licence expired???

Hi,
since the Support doesnt answer my questions, I put this up for discussion here.
I bought Poker Office a long while ago, and I am even an affiliate promoting the product on my poker websites.
When I bought the product, the T+C's clearly stated that I was going to get support and updates indefinitely.
Now PokerOffice 5 is out, and suddenly my old licence does not work any more. I was told I have to buy the new version.

Sorry but this is simply not correct - apart from being unethical, it is also illegal IMHO. I can see that you are not happy with having to support the old product for free, but that was the deal back then - you have to stick to it.

Since you did not answer when I protested by email, I fear that this thread will probably be removed in a short while, but well guess what - you can deal with the problem here, or have it discussed elsewhere.

They have no business sense and have no concern for their customer base. Fortunately, there are competing products and we have options.

Same boat as you, a buddy and I both paid full price for PO probably 3+ years ago, once Bush's sneaky bill passed making it harder for US players to move funds, we both quit for a long while, and didn't use PO very much as a result.

Download it now and get that licensing expired message, we are ANGRY, also.

I never received anything indicating this was coming, and we should not be charged high yearly fees for this, if we purchased it under different rules.

I got lifetime license on another poker product that I adopted early around the same time, the reward for doing so as it should be.

Follow up, I backtracked, found and installed an old 2.x and finally after several updates, have it to v2.51 and it does work, so basically they left us older timers in the dust with 2.x, at least that's something, but still pretty lame.

Unhappy Poker Office 2 and lifetime license?

Like many of you, I decided to go back to trying Poker Office after a long break for similar reasons. With PO5, I figured there would be significant improvements that I could look forward to. Unfortunately, my only option is use the outdated PO2 or consider another application. I actually preferred the PO to PT too.

Imagine your grandfather bought a brand new Ford-T in 19XXish, but he died last year, and left his Ford-T to you. But engin not start, what do you do? You call Museum or just store it to your garage... Then you can sit in your Ford-T in your parking lot some sunny sunday, but if you have to go somewhere, you need a recent (to not say a decent) car... Thats what happen to PO...

Carefull with your old PO... no more update since a while... i mean, lots of problems in sight...dont mess with your database!

And...

PO is dead since a year now i think... Big Users!

LOL

Just visiting here and it makes me so happy that I changed to HEM almost 2 years ago.

Does not matter that my PO2 license has expired. My HEM license won't.
