Help With Poker Office Player & Table Rankings

Hey,

I just purchased poker office. I noticed when I used it that it has things pre-set. Such as how many hands should be played before it ranks a player, and how the player is ranked. Also the ranking of the table either tight or so on.

Am I supposed to use the default settings or am I supposed to change them myself?

Sorry I'm a newbie with all this software stuff for poker. Please inform me of what I should do here.
