Default Attention! Read this if you're experiencing crashing problems at PartyPoker

We have noticed that some users experience crashing problems at PartyPoker. If you do, please follow these steps:

1. Download the attached file: PHTDllLoader.rar
2. Extract the file (right click - Extract)
3. Move the extracted file to the PokerOffice root, which normally would be C:/Program Files/PokerOffice5
4. Answer Yes when asked if you want to overwrite the old file

We'd very much like some feedback after you've tried this.
Attached Files
File Type: rar PHTDllLoader.rar (41.5 KB, 92 views)

Thank you for the fix and quick reaction to this situtation. Seems to be working fine. I played one session last night and one this morning and no problems.

Thank you!

When I download the file there is no right click option to extract the file. Is there something else I can try?

Also, on my hard drive there are two separate folders, one named Poker Office and another named Poker Office 5. Is this correct or should there be just one folder with everything required in it?

I am having all sorts of problems at the moment on Party on also on Full Tilt even though everything was working fine up until a few days ago and I haven't changed any settings as far as I am aware.

It is getting very frustrating now. Is a possible solution to unistall and reinstall Poker Office and start from scratch?

That's great to hear! We of course did some inhouse testing, but it's always tough to say how something will work on other computers.

You could start from scratch, but it sounds like you will need this fix anyway.

It's strange that you can't find an extact option, usually Winzip is included in all Windows systems. You can download a program called Winrar from here: WinRAR - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com. It's the same program I used when compressing the file.

Okay, the download seems to have stopped the problem with the crashing and the flicker but I still don't have the player table stats / overlay I had until recently.

As mentioned previously, PO was working fine on Party until a few days ago and I haven't changed any settings etc.

Not much use to me without the HUD!

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I definitely understand that most of the functionality is gone when the stats aren't working. What about the odds part of PokerOffice, is that working?

It would be good if you could send your log file to support@pokeroffice.com. You can find it at:

- C:/documents and settings/<username>/PokerOffice/log/pokeroffice.log if you're using Windows XP
- C:/Users/<username>/PokerOffice/log/pokeroffice.log if you're using Windows Vista

Yes, the odds part of PO seems to be working ok (sometimes) it's just the player stats that aren't tracked. I have been through all the Full Tilt FAQ's and everything is set up correctly, i.e. Hand History path, chat set to everthing etc etc so I just don't know what the problem is!

Also, I am using XP but there is no log file to be found. There is no PO folder in C:/documents and settings/<username>/

Where else may the log file be located?

Please help!!!

The easiest way to find it would be to use the Windows search feature to search for PokerOffice.log. This should result in a couple of hits.

Maybe herein lies the problem then. I have already tried that and it yields no results!!

What I can't get my head around is that PO was working fine up to about a week or so ago. Then, without altering any PO preferences / settings it no longer works on the two sites I play on dailly, i.e. Party and FullTilt.

The longer this goes on the longer I am unable to multi-table optimally.

The situation is getting very frustrating now and I also appreciate it is very difficult for you to solve these issues without having access to my PC.

Therefore, as mentioned in a previous email what I was thinking of doing is completely unistalling anything related to PO and then reinstalling from scratch.

Please can you offer me advice on this suggestion in terms of how to keep relevant data, e.g. databases etc?

Also, if I am to reinstall PO I will need you to send me my Serial No. and Registration Keys to input as I cannot find records of these on my archived emails. Perhaps you could PM these to me?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I do agree that a reinstallation is a good idea at this point. What you should backup is your database, but I don't think you should backup changes settings etc. since it's likely that the problem could be related to the settings files. Backing up your database is easy, all you need to do is to go to Database -> Backup Database and then keep the file in a safe location.

Just drop me a PM with your registered e-mail address and I'll send you your key.
