Attention: Full Tilt - Windows Vista users

I agree with Lift. I just started to play on FullTilt again and PO is not working. I started the FTPL.exe and it sit in my system tray. I get the cards (bottom portion) but nothing else. After a tourney it asks to update I click yes but nothing shows.

I did update to the latest version that is supposed to be a fix for Fulltilt for Vista user (???) to no avail. What is happening?

It's:

The important thing is to not start FTPL.exe as administrator before you have openend your first Full Tilt table. Other than that there's no specific order.

Yes, and this will be fixed, but the developers focused on getting the tracking to work good to begin with.

couldn't get it to run with all the hints and now I found out, that PO works fine if I resize the window to default size. As it seems, PO can read data only out of default size window.

Before I tried everything in this thread and it did not work for me. Resizing the window did it.

Maybe this helps one or another out there. Have fun.

Ok, this is confirmed with FT and Vista - tracker will not function properly if you have the chat window opened.


And seriously, can you PLEASE take this info on things that work and condense them down? I vaguely recall 1 person in this entire thread saying that about the chat window and no one from PO confirming it or responding to it.

I know Vista isn't "supported" but you took my money all the same. Maybe you should give discounts to Vista FT users since they have to decipher an 8 page thread. Seriously, this is a joke of a thread that's been open for months, put a little effort into this please, it will probably save you a LOT of time helping people who would be fine with a nice clean instructional post.

This is what I have done and have to do every time I play on FT with Vista:

Open FT (admin mode)
Open a table
Dealer messages "everything"
Make sure chat window is closed
Open PO (admin mode and make sure autodetection mode was disabled last time PO was closed)
Do NOT start auto-tracker if it asks
Start ftpl.exe (admin mode)
MANUALLY start auto-tracker, and continue to do so every time you open a new table or are moved to another table in a tourney (auto-detection mode does work, but it can be a real pain if it's activated when PO starts up, and I never have a problem getting auto-tracker to work if it doesn't start automatically)

What you don't seem to understand (and isn't specified in the threads you state) is the ORDER of doing these operations is what's important. I went to the FT Faq, and there's only a little info there.

Now you are going to unsticky this thread when I found more info here than in the FAQ? Why? All this info is NOT in the FAQ. The FAQ is incomplete.

I'm done, I'm trying to help, but I guess it doesn't matter. Good luck to all else who come here and have to figure this crap out through reading these threads.

Lift, I'm not meaning to disregard what you writes, but what's written in the FAQ's is what's supposed to work. I have just tried this on two Vista computers (auto detection running, open a table, start FTPL.exe). Including information about external chat windows, etc.


So you are simply unable to get the tracking started at Full Tilt if you have the auto detection activated?

Can i run fulltilt in silencemode like i can with pokerstars?? Its very anoing that the handshistory scrolls in the chat. This way you cant see good what typed in the chat.

Can't find this option anywhere in PO. In PO the FT client has to bet set on verythink because else it wont work.
