Unfortunately it's not possible to use silent mode for the Full Tilt Poker chat.

Please can you tell me when its going to be fixed. Hopefully in the next release of the 2.X version its very annoying.

I'm afraid no decision regarding this has been made; however, unfortunately there's a very little chance of it being added in PokerOffice 2. The main focus is definitely on PokerOffice 5 right now, so adding new things in PokerOffice 2 does not have high priority.
