Default How to Datamine on Full Tilt?

I have asked this question 3 times with no workable solution.

I am running Vista on a new PC. Poker Office works fine after I find the FTPL.exe and run as administrator.

BUT, it will not begin to gather statistics at other tables UNTIL I sit down and begin playing. On XP, it worked but has never worked on Vista.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue? It would be much more valuable if I could open up the client and run it on several tables while playing at another to help build my DB.

Any answer PO Support?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

Have you speicied your Full Tilt hand history location in PokerOffice? Unfortunately the datamining will not work if that's the case. Right now you would have to unspecify the location when datamining, and then specify it again when playing yourself (don't forget to restart PokerOffice after setting or resetting).

Default Data Mining

That works! Thank you.

So if I moved my HH to the default folder would this take care of everything?

If I understand what you are saying, the specifying of a folder other than the default folder is the issue?

Oh, and where is the default folder located for Vista?

Thanks in advance!

Well, the problem is that the datamined hand history file is located in a different folder than the normal hand histories, which is why specifying causes this problem. Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to move the location of the datamined hand history file.

Default PO Will Not Execute Anymore

Actually I was referring to moving my FT HH files to the datamined history directory. Would that solve the issue of having to check and uncheck the box?

And I have a new problem - my PO will not even open anymore. I dbl-click the icon or click run from the directory but it just goes back to like it never was clicked. I see the Poker Office opening screen for just a second and then it goes away.

I've opened task manager and it is not running.

Can I reinstall from the web site or will this destroy my datamined histories?

Oh, I understand. The problem is that the hand histories are stored in a folder named after your Username, so they wouldn't be in exactly the same folder.

Are you using MySQL? If so, you would be able to re-install PokerOffice without losing your database. Just save the file called mysql.conf, located in the PokerOffice settings folder before re-installing.

Re-installing the latest patch is always something I recommend in cases like this:

1. Restart your computer (VERY Important)
2. Download and install http://www.pokeroffice.com/update.exe
3. Make sure that you restart the computer when/if prompted
4. Start PO and try again

If you're not using MySLQ or if re-installing the patch didn't work, I'd like you to send your PokerOffice log file to support@pokeroffice.com. You can find the log file at c:/program files/pokeroffice/log/systemlog.txt.

Thanks!

Have you followed the steps in the "New Full Tilt patch released" sticky thread in the fourm?

Would it be too much to ask to please filter through these 7 pages and condense the info into 1 post as the top post and get rid of the useless 9/10ths of this thread and let the posts start over? Maybe something to the effect of : "do all of these things before posting here". Instead of "read 7 pages of garbage before posting here".

It's a huge time cost for every single person to read 7 pages of hints, and most people don't/won't bother and just ask questions you've already answered anyway, and the other consideration is that much of this thread is months old and I don't even know what's been fixed recently I don't know what advice is outdated and what still works. It might also save you from answering the same questions over and over with the same answers.

These work-arounds are terribly user-unfriendly and more and more people are getting Vista every day....

Ok, I read through everything here. After over a week of trying to get this thing to work, it worked wonderfully today for 1 tournament. When the tourney was over, the live tracker closed and would not re-open for the next table I opened. When I started it up manually, it was just a blank live-tracker with the correct game/table numbers up top but no hand or table info. I rebooted my PC and could not get it to work again.

I have everything running in admin mode. It looks like a great program, if I can get it to work again. I am not doing anything differently to my knowledge than I did earlier today. At this point I am really not happy I spent money on this.

What is the EXACT order you are supposed to open everything? i.e. 1) open FT, 2) open OP, 3) open your table, 4) run ftpl.exe, 5) open tracker, etc, etc.???

Can you please clarify this for me so I can make sure it's not the order I'm starting these things as my issue. FYI this was the first time I could get the bottom half of the tracker to work (my hand with pot odds and outs, etc). I did not change any settings since it worked, I have only tried to reboot and re-open the programs again

Thanks
