I just don't get, all the hassle?
Poker Office is the most complete, self contained, poker software out there !
It's smaller, lighter on resources, and pretty damn fast (well on my machine anyway).
It may be "old" but it still does the job very well indeed.

It's like you all want to chuck the old and buy the new because it's out first, well my friends, newest, is not always the best!
I have no complaints with the existing poker office, and I can wait, untill the new version is ready.
Patience is a wonderful thing, and as poker players, you should all have patience by the shed load ;0)
If not please sit at my table !!! LoL ;0)

the thing is PO has not changed for 18 months+ People have been requesting features all that time and not one has been implemented. No major poker sites that have been requested have been added in that time either. On top of that, Pacific Poker upgraded their software almost a year ago now and PO has STILL not come up with a patch. Anyone who wants to use PO on that site has to use an older version of the poker client.

I am currently trying out Holdem Manager and will probably be switching to them shortly rather than upgrade to PO3 even if it does ever reach the light of day

Default waiting

questions.

How long does it take to completely re-write a program ?
"not just patch or tweak"
How many coders 1,2,3,4,-->100?
Are they full time or can they only code in their free time?

do the developers concentrate on the new version or, waste valuable coding time on patching / fixing the old?
They have to choose, and i hope they have chosen to concentrate on the new.
They have asked us for our requests for features and poker sites why ?
For the old version? I doubt it.
I think they wanted to know for the new version.

18 months is quite a while for us to wait, but I hope it will be worth it.

If I could do coding, I would offer to help, but I wouldn't have a clue.

So I shall just say, thank you developers, your work is appreciated ;0)

It's sad to admit it, but as support has remained silent during the latest months of this year about this subject, and no improvement has been made to PO2 nor a remote idea has been given about how PO3 will be, we'd better believe this company is running on autopilot trying to milk out users until they can. I just can't believe they have programmers working on anything nor plans for an update.

I myself bought PT3 and there were very pissing problems in the beginning but they worked very hard (also a small team) to solve them and now on Beta 15 the software is working fine I would say.

A pity, I liked PO but I think it is part of the past. I really hope to be wrong. We'll all benefit from a new PO version.

yeah, yesterday I bought PT3 and I like it. It runs much smoother on my machine and has many more stats to use. Downsides are the lack of odds and it doesn't show the player's moves, but that's ok.

It's running very good and stable, what I cannot say about PokerOffice.

Of course we are working on new features, the reason we keep quiet is:

* We can not give an answer when we will be done with the new features
* We can not promise that this or that feature will be added
* Since PO is the only software that currently takes the poker game state in real time we are affected more by poker site upgrades. And, since we can not predict such thing we do not know if we might have to focus all our effort on a poker site upgrade for one month or if we can focus on new features.

What I can say is that we have been listening to user feedback and are trying to get many both minor and major features and also some tweaks and optimizations done.

I hope you can bare with us for some time yet and I do not think that you will be dissapointed.

The conclusion of what you write is: You need more developers ! As soon as possible !
Otherwise you'll loose many customers and you should know how difficult it is, to get them back.

New features had not been added since several month.
Urgent fixes (like FullTilt) last over many days (without support on weekends)...

Sorry but this is not, what users will pay an anual fee for ....
I liked PO very much until I noticed, that there are many "warm words" for the users, but no development of the software
"Feature requested" seems to be only a headline in this forum without any feedback by the developers.

How much should they charge for PO then?
