Dear Support,

I have sent the email to you. It will be coming from sifu_co@yahoo.com with an attachment, PokerOffice.rar.

And no I do not have a current license for your product. I am hoping to save up the $$ as Christmas was nice and I am still paying for it

Thought you should know who is trying to besmirch your good name and product.

Thanks!

I notice there still appears to be regular problems with false positives, and I also notice the response tends to be to ignore the message or avoid it (by changing the settings of the av program).

I am a software engineer, and cannot understand why your programmers find it so difficult to change code so that these issues do not occur. It should be a simple matter of changing compile options, optimisation, or rewriting the small section of code that produces the problem signature.

This is really not a difficult thing to do, and virus warnings should always be taken seriously.

I was considering buying another license for this product, as I find it very useful, but with the competition available, and the size of this thread, it really doesn't give me much confidence that the programmers, support and management care very much for their users.

Regards,
Charlie

Default Tojan.Vundo

Dear Support,

When I initially installed PO2 I had problems because AVG was detecting PO2 as a virus/trojan. I decided then to install a different virus protection and everything seemed to work fine.

I am now running PO5, and I also have Malwarebytes installed for my protection. To my horror Malwarebytes is now detecting TROJAN.Vundo everytime PO5 runs.

Please advise as I am seriously starting to doubt the integrity of PO.

PokerOffice uses a number of low level techniques to "read" the poker site in real time, these are needed for the product to function properly, and unfortunately this is causing some programs to belive it's a trojan horse. Unfortunately I can't do more than to assure that as long as all your PokerOffice files are downloaded from our website they're clean from all kind of malicious files. AVG Anti-virus Research Lab has analyzed the file(s) you have sent from your AVG Virus Vault. Below you can find the results for each file. The final verdict on the file is either a correct detection or a false positive detection.

Further information about the verdicts are available at our website:
AVG Antivirus and Security Software - Result of AVG detection analysis

"C:\Program Files\PokerOffice\finalizepatch.exe" - detection is correct

Default dealing with false positives

I would like to suggest that when you start getting reports of trojans etc. that you upload the suspect file to virus total and then submit it to the vendors that detect it, as a possible FP. If it gets the all clear it will be removed from detection fairly quickly.
here's a start.
Virustotal finalizepatch.exe.

Hey all,

I have been using PO for some time now, but I have accidentally pressed 'Herstel' (that's Dutch for repair) when I got the trojan pop-up. I have reinstalled PO5 and ran a patch, but it doesn't work. Now my live tracker windows show up empty when I open a table and there are no tablestats. I use XP and AVG and play on PokerStars.

PS
The answer maybe has been given in previous posts but it's quite difficult to find the solution in a 18-page thread. Maybe make a FAQ or something more readable about it?
