Well considering we all tried shutting AVG off totally. Uninstalling PO and then reinstalling PO. And running it without AVG and it doesn't work. Explain that.

We have been trying to sort this out for some time now, we have yet to install AVG and make a virus scan. Several others have been tried tho. We have also contacted the antivirus companies about this, still no answer (not very surprising..)

As it looks right now we do not have any solotion we can apply, the problem lies in the antivirus software makeing a bad call and if you follow its advise and quaranteen/delete important files in PokerOffice it can of course not be expected to run correctly.

My advise is to first update your antivirus software, download the latest definition files etc. Then reinstall the latest patch to get the files back. Do not let the antivirus program block/remove andy of the files and it should work. I am afraid that we are not experts on every antivirus software and can not give detialed instruction for how you should operate your antivirus software.

Further more it would be very good if you contacted the antivirus company and ask them how to solve this. We will of course keep working on this and try more to get a response from their support.

It would also help very much if you tell us which OS you havem i.e. Vista or XP so we can see if there is any difference there. (we have not got any warnings from some antivirus when running scans on 3 XP somputers)

That advise won't work because I've always ignored the warning so no files are deleted. And even then the PO won't start. Also it is the latest version with latest updates running on XP.

Thats funny... if I turn off AVG Resident Shield, PO works perfectly. Ofcourse I restored those 2 files AVG blocked before.
Yeah, its quite annoying to turn it off and on all the time.

But it work for me now until the problem is solved.

EDIT: I have downld the latest update of AVG (Free Edition) and latest patch of PO and I use WinXP. Just for the info.
And if I scan PO-directory in Program Files with AVG Resident Shield on, the "viruses" are found.

AVG 7.5
Win XP

turn off resident shield
restore the rogue PO files from the virus vault
Start PO
turn back on resident shield

This works for me.

As I suggested in another thread these problems and fixes should be summarised and stickied.

Same works for me with XP professionel SP2 and AVG 7.5 professionel...

But its really funny: At the moment PO works without problems (I didnt restarted my Notebook since yesterday), I made a AVG Virus-Update, scan my computer and AVG again found the pnthandlerdll (now 3 times in the quarantäne) and InjLib.dll (now 2 in quarantäne) - AVG tell me that it heal the files and PO is working during all this without problems...

edit:
Now I made a restart: PO do not open...

turn off resident shield
restore the rogue PO files from the virus vault (those who were there since my complete scan - restore = speichern)
Start PO
turn back on resident shield

PO works again...
