AVG 7.5
Windows XP

Same problem here with the two viruses.

Have tried the procedure of;
1) Remove the files in the virus vault
2) Restart computer
3) Install the newest patch for Poker Poffice
4) Restart computer
5) Turn off resident shield in AVG
6) Start up Poker Office
7) Turn on resident shield in AVG

Still at point 6 in the procedure I still cannot get Poker Office to start

I have XP but maybe the procedure on AVG is the same:
- open AVG control center
- got to the 3. from top = resident AVG Safety (german "Residenter AVG Schutz")
- doubleclick = options
- deactivate the option on the top = "Den Residenten AVG-Schutz aktivieren"
- ok

I have AVG on XP but it seems to work differently from Hanuse's.

Open the control centre
Click on Resident Shield (2nd from the top)
Click on Properties (bottom right corner)
Uncheck "Turn on AVG Resident shield protection"

Turning it back on is even easier:

Open the control centre
Click on Resident Shield
Click on Activate

Hope this helps.

First to all that have not been able to get PO to work even tho you have turned of the antivirus software: You must restore the files first, I suggest you do this by installing the latest patch. Also you must update your antivirus software too.

I have now built a new version of the pnthandler.dll, it exactly the same file but without any compression, this migth make a difference. I have read loads of information about how the antivirus softwares work and using certions kinds of compression can cause fale positives.

Download this file and put it in the c:\program files\pokeroffice\ folder (select overwrite if you get the question)

The reason I couldn't get mine to work, even after deleting and UNINSTALING and REBOOTING from AVG, is that somehow... pr.exe was the culprit. I'm a little new to Vista, so still getting used to all the bugs with this microsoft POS-OS, but.... pr.exe doesn't seem to always get killed when PO is terminated. And sometimes I have to kill it just to get stats to pop up on my overlay at tables. And I guess, somehow... rebooting doesn't kill it 100% with this BETA OS. Because somehow, it was still preventing PO from starting up after going through hoops, until I ran the old task manager and killed it manually.

This solution works for me. PO loads up even AVG 7.5 Resident Shield in ON. Thanks for that! Keep up the good work!

But the other problem remains though.... AVG detects Trojan in "InjLib.dll"-file when it loads up. But this file doesnt disturb PO to work.

working with me again also with the latest uncompressed file. Using AVG Free.

injlib.dll still in the virus fault, i can not restore it because AVG still detects a virus inside it but PO does not seem to bother.

Sounds awesome, can't wait to try this when I get home.
Hopefully I will get to start up PokerOffice for the first time.
