It would really help us if you could answer a few questions because it looks like it is a Vista related problem, Stars have probably changed something about how the hand histories are saved (where) and we can not reproduce this ourselves:

1. what OS you are using? (i.e. XP/Vista)
2. Look at Lobby->Options->Instant hand history settings and tell us all you settings here.
3. Play a couple of hands and figure out where the hand histories are stored, maybe it does not match what the settings say? (see point 2)
4. Look through the hands tracked until you get the "30 max observed limit" message, does these hands contain any hole cards for your opponents? or do they all have n/a on starting hands tab for example?

Default Administrator....

1) I'm using Vista
2) C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory\
3) Yes that is where it is stored.

I am quite sure PO is retrieving hand files from the same location because the live tracker stats correctly gather up until the 30 hand limit. Then Live tracker ceases to accumulate. Table overlay Stats do not show up at all....no table overlay period.

Ok, thank you for the feedback, since we do track observed hands up until the 30:th hand it may be this, we will keep trying to come up with a fix.

*Edit: added a 4:th check to the check list above

4) All stats and information show up as normal in the live tracker window, up until the 30 hand limit. Then nothing happens.

Default No Live Tracker Information at all

I got no information in the live tracker window or table overlay since update.

By the way, there is no 30 hands limit information. I think I disabled the warning long before when it came up by checkmarking it or something like this (but I don't remember at all).

Default Re: Problems with Poker Stars

Same problem. After 29 hands nothing is recorded.

I am using Vista. I have tried getting Poker Stars to save hands to a different folder, and telling Poker Office where to look for saved hands.

This had no effect and did not solve the problem.

Thumbs up PO is Working now!!!...

Hello all,

I was fooling around with a whole bunch of things clicking here and there, and now PO seems to be working fine.

I'm not sure if any of these did it but you can try for yourself. I'll try to re-collect my actions over the last two days.

1) Go to Live Tracker - Live Tracker Auto Detection Mode - check (Do not Use Table Overlay) - check (Do Not Use Live Tracker) " Shut both down"

2) I played for a bit with PO open - Got peeeed off and shut it down

3) I went into my Pokerstars Hand History file location where Pstars saves on your C: drive. and removed all hand histories there. (I saved files to a different location, but do not change the location Pstars stores the files)

4) Just now I reopened PO went into the Live Tracker Tab and unchecked both (Do not Use Table Overlay and (Do not Use Live Tracker)

And now everything works...I've played over 35 hands and stats all look to be correct I'm reallly losing and stats do show that!! hahaa... Pstars is just stopped all games for a 7am scheduled restart will play later to see if everything is fine.

Give that a go guys and see if that works...make sure you keep us updated.

Thanks Peace out.

OH ya...I also tried to install PT3 but that didn't work either...This I definitely do not recommend.

1) Vista Home Premium
2) C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory\
3) When the update first installed I couldn't find them anywhere. I then ran PS and PO as administrator and it worked for over 270 hands. Then...observed hands policy pop up for both tables appeared and I shut down. The relevant hand history was where it should be and PO updated correctly when I logged out. I haven't tried since as it's distracting.
4) Mucked hands and showdown hands for opponents are accurately recorded as far as I can tell.

Wink Another solution...

I tried things menchend by hp - without success.

I reapplied/ reinstalled old update236.exe - NOW - it works fine for me! So don't give up...

Daniel

OK, Hole Card reading doesn't work at all. Will try update by update...

update236.exe works without hole cards
update237.exe works with hole cards

OK, won't check out other updates - seems that everything is working again for me.

1. Vista x64 Ultimate
2. P:\Program Files (x86)\Poker\PokerStars\HandHistory\
3. stored correctly
4. still testing

__________
By the way, there was another update from stars today! But it does not change anything in my case.
